Although restless beyond measure, with few straight lines, this landscape is one of the most classic in conception among Van Gogh’s works. You’re enjoy recreating the movement in the sky while capturing the gold of the wheat field on the 16 x 20 canvas using acrylics.

Van Gogh painted this wheat field (by some referred to as a cornfield) with cypresses when he was in a mental asylum in Saint Remy in the south of France. He painted this when he was allowed to make short walks and paint outside of the asylum. He was particularly impressed by the cypresses he saw there as he felt that this tree reflected some of his emotions. Learn more about Van Gogh as you recreate this masterpiece.
