Renoir was so charmed by the view of his garden from his studio in Montmartre, France that he painted an entire series featuring the beautiful landscape that resembled an abandoned park. His best friend Monet, and Monet’s wife Camille, also loved the garden as well, and were often found forging among the flowers. One day while gazing upon the garden, Renoir captured his friend’s wife with her parasol strolling about and was inspired to create the masterpiece “Woman with a Parasol in a Garden.”
