A powerful fusion of dance, martial arts, and mindfulness practices, Nia is a holistic movement and wellness practice addressing each aspect of your life – body, mind, and soul. Nia classes are designed for EveryBody, regardless of age, health or fitness level. Using a system of 52 simple moves, each Nia workout delivers full-body conditioning leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Practiced barefoot (shoes are optional), Nia’s purpose is to inspire and guide people to listen to the wisdom of the body, choose movement that feels good, and find connection in community. Nia is for every person who desires to discover, explore, unleash, and enhance their individual potential to live a healthy and meaningful life. This evening Nia class will guide participants through an energetic movement experience, ending with a calming and relaxing cooldown, a simple and gentle way to complete your day.
The instructor, Loelle Poneleit, has been teaching Nia for twelve years. Searching for fun ways to stay fit while taking care of her young children, Loelle found in Nia a little bit of everything she was looking for – aerobic exercise, playful, joyful, meditative movement, and community. She felt drawn to share this creative movement practice with others, and has not looked back.
