Young children have a natural love of music and rhythm, but did you know that incorporating music and movement into your child’s early learning experiences can ignite social, emotional and intellectual development? Exposure to music in early childhood can accelerate brain development—particularly with regards to language and literacy, improved social and emotional skills, problem solving, creative thinking and motor skill development.
The ‘Little Swallows Music in the Gardens’ program is a series of six sessions designed to introduce preschool-aged children and their parents to the world of music-making in the relaxing and restorative beauty of Hudson Gardens. Each 45-minute, interactive group music session is led by a highly trained, family-friendly Swallow Hill Music teacher and is designed to inspire children to explore the world of music-making through singing, playing instruments, using creative movement, dance, rhymes, and other age-appropriate activities.
Sessions held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, June – August, 10-10:45 AM:
June 13 & 27
July 11 & 25
