This workshop begins with a lovely walk through the gardens to see what herbs we can find. We will discuss their many uses and their benefits to support your health.
After our garden walk we will use the Wise Woman method which is a more traditional folk method and create some herbal products for you take to take home.
You will be creating an herbal honey and your choice of a healing herbal oil. This workshop also includes handouts, recipes and growing tips to get you started with using herbs for healing support.
Registration is required.
About the Instructor:
Hello…I am Kirsten Dehmlow. I am a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Flowers and herbs have been an interest of mine for as long as I can remember. Everywhere I have lived I have found a plot of dirt to plant. During my first pregnancy I began building my library of books on using herbs. In the summer of 2020 I began my official training to become a community herbalist. I am dedicated to continue growing and learning how herbs heal and provide support physically, emotionally and spiritually.
I have been a childbirth educator for over 15 years and have also worked as a labor doula for many years. I was the Parent Education Coordinator at a hospital in Denver for over 13 years. I love educating and supporting families and am excited to add my knowledge of herbs as a focus of support.
Helping women as they enter and progress through life transitions has been a continual focus in my work. Now I love adding herbs and Maya abdominal therapy as additional nourishing support. I offer one on one consultations, classes and herbal products: teas, tinctures, salves and essential oils.
