This class, taught by professional photographer, Mark Payler, will help unravel the mysteries of your camera and provide hands-on instruction about all you may need to know to get started with your new gear.

Topics to be covered include:

  • understanding exposure
  • focusing techniques
  • how and when to use different lenses
  • when to utilize various pre-programmed settings.

This course is designed as an overview to the basic controls found on any brand of camera and to provide a foundation to learn more about your camera. Questions will be welcomed and addressed during the class session. Please make sure you have your camera by your side and your battery charged for this exploration of your new photography gear.

Mark Payler is a professional photographer with 40 year of experience. He has a Bachelors of Fine Arts (Photography Major), a Masters of Education from Lesley University, and worked as commercial photographer and educator. He was the President and CEO of Vision West Productions, a multi-media marketing firm in Wyoming. He is also a published author.
