Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, “Forest Bathing” has been scientifically proven to boost immune strength, reduce stress, and improve cognitive functioning as we deepen our connection with the natural world by slowing down and engaging our senses.

Certified ANFT guide, Emily vonSwearingen, will offer a series of guided “invitations” that tune participants into the environment with mediative Native flute and tongue drum accompaniments under the full moon. Let the moon illuminate your mind!

The end of walk will feature strawberries in honor of the strawberry moon. This session takes place entirely outdoors. (Note: we do not guarantee the Moon will be visible depending on cloud conditions). Portable seating is provided. Limited to 10 participants.

About: Emily vonSwearingen is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. She is also an art therapist, specializing in adapting mixed-media arts for a diverse array of participants of all ages and abilities.
