Celebrate Earth Day with Hudson Gardens during this new special open house program all about the amazing Honey bee and native bees, and their important role in pollination. Observation hives on display will allow participants to see the inside an active hive, and activity stations will entertain and educate. Drop-in when you can and stay as long as you like! Pre-registration is required for everyone attending (both adults and children). Everyone will take home a native seed packet to help “restore the earth” (2021 Earth Day theme) with native plants.

Activity stations will include:

  • Do the Waggle Dance
  • Honey Samples (pre-packaged)
  • Meet a Beekeeper
  • Make a Native Bee Hotel
  • Native Bee Watch Citizen Science
  • See Like a Bee
  • Smell Like a Bee
  • And more!

This program is suitable for children ages 6 and up. Participants must wear a mask during the program. Parents must register child(ren) and accompanying parents.
