It’s true container gardening is ideal for those with little or no garden space, but they can also add versatility and color to gardens large and small. Containers can be placed on the ground or on a pedestal, mounted on a windowsill or hung from the porch. Plants lend instant color, provide a focal point in the garden, or tie in the architecture of the house to the garden.

Learn from Horticultural expert Debi Borden-Miller the best techniques for planting annuals in containers and what you need to know to enjoy those beautiful containers all summer long. Topics will include soil prep, container styles & sizes, plant selection, watering & proper drainage, fertilization and maintenance. Each class participant will create and take home a hanging basket, just in time for Mother’s Day. Price includes all materials for hanging basket.

Registration for this class closes on Thursday, May 6th at 5:00 PM. Masks will be required during the class. Pre-registration is required, no walk-in registrations allowed. The class size will be limited. Please read our COVID-19 protocols for classes on the main classes/programs page.
