What volunteer opportunities are offered at The Gardens?
There are many volunteer opportunities at The Hudson Gardens & Event Center,
including maintaining our gardens, staffing the Gift Shop, performing
administrative functions, serving as educational docents, leading tours
andstaffing concerts and special events. Please let us know what your interests
are.
What if I can’t volunteer regularly?
Whether you volunteer once a year or once a week we welcome your service.Is
there a minimum time requirement?We do not have a seasonal minimum requirement.
Most visits ask for a three hour time commitment. There are always exceptions to
the rules so please contact the volunteer coordinator with specific inquiries.
Do I have to have training?
Yes, training will be provided. There will be an orientation before starting
your volunteer assignment. Any additional training will be done by the
supervisor of the department as needed or requested.
Can I start volunteering mid-season?
You may become involved at any time. We encourage starting at the beginning of
the season since we have a general orientation and specific departmental
training dates at the beginning of the season. We do offer on-going training as
needed.
