Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch provides the backdrop for our most popular fall children’s education program, Leaf Lookout, which draws over 1,000 students and countless families during the months of September and October. The Pumpkin Patch includes several small trails for exploration, excitement, and wonder. The pumpkins are grown solely for educational purposes and are not picked or sold.

The Pumpkin Patch is maintained by Gardens' staff in conjunction with the generous time and energy of a committed volunteer. The area is planted with Prizewinner Hybrid pumpkin seeds, which were generously donated from Burpee Seed Company.
