Ornamental hardy water lilies and bog plants, including Sweet Flag (Acorus calamus) thrive in a large pool, surrounded by banks densely covered with perennials and shrubs, grasses, cottonwoods and peach-leaf willows, planted for display and decorative effect.

Many, many frogs, resting upon lilypads, call the Water Garden home.

This area provides a valuable education resource on the hardy water lily culture, both for school-age groups and the homeowner.

Views into this garden are reflected from the trees on the west side, with a serene overlook from the pathway to the Secret Garden.

The Water Garden is also a rental venue great for wedding ceremonies. We call it Monet's Place. See a slide show of Monet's Place.
