Small in size but well-covered with a variety of plants, this garden is reminiscent of an English Cottage Garden. Surrounding the
Hudson Residence, this patented garden was designed and planted by Lauren Springer, nationally known horticulturist and author of the book The Undaunted Garden.

The Cottage Garden features on ongoing succession of color from February to November, including snow daisies, shrub roses, daphne, ferns and late-flowering anemones.
Dominant plantings of Giant Kale (Crambe cordifolia), Snow Daisy (Tanacetum niveum) and Penstemons mix with bulbs and small ornamental grasses such as Lamb's Ear and Artemisias to create a delightful combination of foliage, color and texture! The incorporation of shrubs into the border of the Cottage Garden gives a distinctively "English" feel.
