Situated on the eastern side of the South Lawn, the Conifer Grove is a large area covering over two acres. Acting as a sound barrier to Santa Fe Drive, principal screen plantings include dense Austrian and Ponderosa pines on the east side, with blue spruces and pinion pines framing views to the west.

Mingled within are limber pines, white firs, Douglas firs, bristlecone pines and a large selection of junipers.

This varied collection of trees invites quiet walking along the main path to the south, with the curvature of the path giving the illusion that there is something new ahead.

The Conifer Grove carries on the legacy of King Hudson, who originally planted the conifers located by the Hudson Residence and The Inn at Hudson Gardens.
